Red Sox Vs. Blue Jays Lineups: Lucas Giolito Makes Debut
The Red Sox can secure another series victory on Wednesday, as they’ll play the second of a trio with the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.
Lucas Giolito will be on the bump for Boston.
Giolito will make his debut after signing a two-year contract in December 2023. The Red Sox haven’t received a good return on that investment, as he spent the entire first season on the injured list after undergoing an internal brace procedure to repair an elbow injury he suffered in spring training. Giolito then suffered a left hamstring strain during his first spring training start, which put him on the IL until Wednesday.
Boston reinstated him from the injured list on Wednesday, though, making way for his debut.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora elected not to make any changes to the lineup after an onslaught on Tuesday. The Sox and Jays are scheduled to take the field at 7:07 p.m. ET, following an hour of pregame coverage on NESN.
