Patriots Release Six Players After 2025 NFL Draft
The Patriots draft additions prompted a series of subtractions.
New England on Monday released six players, including offensive lineman Jake Andrews, defensive lineman Marcus Harris, wide receiver JaQuae Jackson, linebacker Titus Leo, safety Mark Perry and tight end Giovanni Ricci.
Andrews is the most notable of the group given he was selected in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Andrews (6-foot-3, 308 pounds) played in 16 games with one start at left guard as a rookie in 2023 — Bill Belichick’s final year at the helm. The 25-year-old spent the 2024 campaign on injured reserve.
Leo, who was signed to the Patriots 53-man roster from the Colts practice squad in November, registered one tackle during four games in 2024.
Jackson was signed by the Patriots in June before he spent the season on injured reserve. Harris and Perry both signed to New England’s practice squad last fall while Ricci signed a futures contract in February. None of them played in a game for the Patriots.
