Gary Neville makes ‘barbaric’ prediction for Tottenham against Liverpool

Tottenham fans might not be too pleased to hear what Gary Neville expects to happen at Anfield, with the pundit making a rather grim prediction on what Liverpool have in store.

The eyes of the footballing world will be on Anfield this Sunday, with Liverpool only needing a point to secure the Premier League title.

Tottenham face the challenge of trying to spoil the party, but the Lilywhites have their own preoccupations, namely the Europa League semifinal against Bodo/Glimt next Thursday.

Ange Postecoglou is expected to ring the changes for the Liverpool clash, with more than half an eye on the semifinal, and Neville can see only one result this Sunday.

The Sky Sports pundit does not think Tottenham Hotspur have it in them to put up much of a fight against Arne Slot’s men, who he has backed to make light work of their opponents.

The former Man United man expects a celebratory afternoon at Anfield as Liverpool thrash Tottenham to win the title in style.

Neville told The Overlap that the game will be a “procession”, and he added: “It will be barbaric. I think it will be 4-1. Liverpool will score four. It will be one of those celebratory [afternoons].”

Ange Postecoglou has nearly a fully fit squad to choose from for the Liverpool clash, with Heung-min Son and Radu Dragusin being the only absentees.

Arne Slot is also in a similar boat, with Joe Gomez being the only injured player in the Liverpool squad at the moment.

However, as mentioned earlier, Tottenham are expected to name a weaker side due to their Europa League commitments, while the Reds are expected to go full strength.
