Team News: Motherwell (A)
There are three alterations to the Hibernian Women starting XI heading into our SWPL clash versus Motherwell – full details below!
Following last weekend’s Sky Sports Cup Final defeat to Rangers, Grant Scott opts to tinker slightly with his squad.
The three players who have played in every single one of Hibs’ 28 matches this season have all been given the opportunity to rest as we travel to K-Park on Sunday.
Vice-captain Ellis Notley returns to lead the Hibees out in South Lanarkshire in the absence of Club captain Rachael Boyle. It is a welcome start for the versatile midfielder, who has frustratingly managed just one start since picking up an injury in early October.
Ellis replaces Siobhan Hunter, who, coincidentally, made her only substitute appearance this season against Motherwell in December; with the centre-back scoring late on to nab her only goal of the season so far.
The second switch sees Abbie Ferguson replace Tegan Bowie to start out wide for the Hibees. Abbie scored on her most recent start versus Dundee United and makes her 23rd appearance of the campaign this afternoon.
The third and final change sees centre-forward Eilidh Adams drop to the bench alongside Hunter and Bowie, allowing Rosie Livingstone – who netted the last time these two sides met – to be reinstated to the front line.
Caley Gibb is restored to the substitute’s list after missing out entirely on last Saturday’s cup final due to being cup-tied.
Also on the bench is 15-year-old youngster Jessica Ramsay, who could make her senior debut today if brought on.
