Drake Maye Sure Seems Excited About Massive Stefon Diggs-Patriots News

Drake Maye wasted little time showing his excitement over the news that the New England Patriots had reportedly signed a true No. 1 receiver on Tuesday night.

The franchise quarterback immediately took to Instagram to share the news on his page while tagging the NFL and NFL Network in his story.

New England’s social team announced the signing with a cryptic post on X, stating, “Report: Patriots to sign WR Stefon Diggs.”

“The Patriots are making a huge addition to their offense by reportedly signing four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter,” Patriots staff writer Evan Lazar wrote in the linked article. “Diggs was in Foxborough last week to meet with the Patriots as he recovers from ACL reconstruction surgery he underwent roughly four months ago, per reports.”

The former Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills receiver was on pace for his seventh-consecutive 1,000-yard season before his season-ending injury, according to Lazar. The Patriots are certainly in need of that type of production in New England.

Diggs joins a receiving corps of Kenrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas and recently signed Mack Hollins.
