Why ‘Confidence’ Is Top Description For Elite Red Sox Prospects

The Boston Red Sox’s top trio of prospects — Kristian Campbell, Marcelo Mayer and Roman Anthony — is at the forefront of every conversation surrounding the club’s upcoming season.

NESN.com’s Tim Crowley has an eight-part series debuting on Monday on various Red Sox prospects in Boston’s system and joined Kasey Hudson and George Balekji on Friday’s “Boston Has Entered The Chat” to discuss why the focus is still on the Big Three.

“The confidence is as high as ever,” Crowley said of his conversation with Red Sox senior director of player development Brian Abraham. “It’s fun looking ahead to spring training because we spent the better part of a year talking about the Big Three.

“Maybe it’s a little different now. You sub in Kristian Campbell for Kyle Teel, but the confidence is still there. … There’s a lot of confidence in knowing that these guys are going to impact the big league club in 2025.”

Crowley expresses when he thinks the trio will make their big league debuts and where they will play in Boston.

To hear Crowley break it all down for each prospect individually, you can catch the clip on YouTube or Spotify.
