Team Canada Forward Throws Hilarious Dig At Matthew Tkachuk

The United States-Canada hockey rivalry was alive and well during the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Canada won in the end after a thrilling overtime victory at TD Garden on Thursday. The championship win came after the Americans fought and thrashed Team Canada last Saturday.

The memorable matchup led to a war of words between Brandon Hagel and Matthew Tkachuk. The Florida Panthers forward intimated that the Canada locker room might not be that close if they don’t have group texts with each other.

Well, Hagel got the last laugh when he posted on his Instagram story a massive group text with his Canada teammates with the chat title, “Champions.”

The “BM” in the picture likely is Brad Marchand, who also threw the ultimate chirp at the Tkachuk brothers for their trash talk before the 4 Nations Face-Off final.

Team Canada took home the gold medal and got one over the infamous Tkachuk brothers. It would appear, though, that Hagel had some catching up to do with the 227 text messages he received.
