Fixtures

  • Montrose Women Vs. Hibernian Women - Sun, Feb 16th 2025, 16:00

The Lowdown

Grant Scott’s side are currently 12 games unbeaten in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League after picking up an away win last weekend.

Conceding just once in their last seven outings, the Hibees picked up another clean sheet at Ochilview – putting keeper Noa Schumacher on six shutouts from 10 appearances this season.

The girls defeated Queen’s Park last Sunday, with Tegan Bowie and Kirsten Reilly both finding the net inside the first half to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory.

This result puts fourth-place Hibs on 48 points for the campaign. This puts us just two points behind league leaders Glasgow City as it remains tight at the top of the table.

The Hosts

Montrose suffered a heavy defeat last time out, losing 8-0 to first-place Glasgow City at Petershill Park last weekend as seven different scorers found the net.

Failing to win in their last five, Montrose last secured victory in late December 2024 with a narrow 1-0 triumph over Queen’s Park on home soil.

The last meeting between Hibs and Montose came on 6 October 2024, with the Hibees running out as 5-1 winners at Meadowbank Stadium.

In a game that saw Siobhan Hunter make her 300th appearance for Hibernian, Kathleen McGovern opened the scoring on the day.

An onslaught of late goals from Eilidh Adams, Rosie Livingstone and Lauren Doran-Barr - alongside an own goal - rounded out the superb victory.

The hosts are currently 10th in the SWPL standings – a position within the relegation zone.

With 11 points accrued, safety is still within reach for Craig Feroz’s side as they sit just three points behind ninth-place Spartans.
