Southampton are reportedly considering asking Spurs to include a midfielder in any offer that the North London club make for Tyler Dibling.

Dibling has won many admirers since breaking into the Southampton side at the start of this season, and with the Saints looking destined to go straight back down, a number of clubs have reportedly explored a move for the teenager over recent months.

According to various sources, Spurs have already made advances towards Tyler Dibling and are testing the waters to see if a deal can be agreed before Monday’s transfer deadline.

It emerged a couple of days ago that the Lilywhites have considered singing the winger on loan with an obligation to buy for £50m in the summer.

The Daily Express have now become the latest outlet to suggest that Tyler Dibling is a ‘serious target’ for Spurs, who would ideally like to sign the youngster before the window slams shut on Monday.

If the North London club are unable to do that, they will look to put themselves in a ‘healthy position’ to win the race for the winger in the summer.

The report explains that Southampton are now having internal talks about how best to handle the situation if Ange Postecoglou‘s men push ahead with a move for their young starlet.

The South Coast club are allegedly having discussions over whether to ask Tottenham to include academy midfielder, Tyrese Hall, in any deal for Dibling.

The Saints are thought to be fans of the 19-year-old Tottenham midfielder, with senior figures at the club wanting to include the youngster in the negotiations for Dibling.

Hall has continued impressing for Tottenham’s Under-21s, having started every single game for Premier League 2 fixture this season, with four goals and three assists to his name so far.

However, while other academy youngsters have got minutes in the Europa League this season, the central midfielder is yet to get a look-in.

That suggests that Postecoglou does not rate him as highly as the others in the youth set-up. Tottenham may thus be willing to offer the teenager to the Saints if they feel it would give them an advantage in the race for Dibling.
