Projected Lines, Defensive Pairings For Bruins-Avalanche Matchup
The Bruins seek consistency when they take on the Colorado Avalanche at TD Garden on Saturday.
Boston is coming off a shutout home win over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. The Black and Gold elevated the Atlantic Division standings to maintain good playoff standing before the 4 Nations break.
Jeremy Swayman missed Thursday due to an upper-body injury. Interim head coach Joe Sacco told reporters Friday that the Bruins netminder would be an option Saturday as would Cole Koepke who’s been out since Jan. 14. Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm remain out.
The Avalanche will have a new lineup after trading away star forward Mikko Rantanen to the Carolina Hurricanes as part of a three-team trade. Colorado acquired Martin Necas and Jack Drury along with draft picks in the deal, but the new acquisitions are not expected to suit up Saturday.
