Newcastle United are one of the in-form teams in the Premier League at the turn of the new year, winning their last four fixtures on the bounce. Unfortunately, it is a different story over at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Lilywhites are down in the bottom half of the Premier League table and are without a win in their last three – a draw at home to Wolves and defeats at the hands of Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.

To make matters worse, the likes of Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven, Richarlison, Mikey Moore, Ben Davies, and co are still out injured.

Rodrigo Bentancur is also suspended for the game against Newcastle, while Ange Postecoglou revealed today that an illness bug has swept through Hotspur Way. A few Spurs players were even unable to train in the past 24 hours.

Everything seems to point towards a Newcastle victory in the early kick-off on Saturday, but Pascal Chimbonda is a little more hopeful.
