Texas high school football scores for Friday, Sept. 6

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Chaston Ditta hit Patrick Colby for a 14-yard touchdown with 0:35 left in the game to lift Lake Travis to a 45-42 win over Rockwall at Cavalier Stadium in Friday's high school football action around the Austin area.

Rockwall had a good look at a game-tying field goal from 51 yards, but the kick fell short as time expired.

Westlake, ranked No. 4 in the Dave Campbell's Texas Football Class 6A poll, ran away in its home opener with a 63-7 win over San Benito.

Cedar Park outlasted Vandegrift to claim a 49-46 double-overtime win while Weiss blew out San Marcos 54-0.
