Manor Solomon has barely played in 12 months

Solomon has endured a nightmarish 12 months since his switch to Tottenham, with the winger missing almost the entirety of last season due to an injury.

The likes of Timo Werner and Wilson Odobert have since arrived at Spurs, which has seen the 25-year-old drop down the pecking order at North London.

That is why Solomon decided to join Leeds on loan for the season and he could not have hoped for a better start to his time at Elland Road.

Solomon is happy to be back on the pitch

The 25-year-old started on the left for Daniel Farke’s men on Saturday and he tormented the Tigers defence all afternoon, getting the home fans off their seats with his runs.

Solomon set up Leeds’ opener, managing to beat two players and deliver a teasing cross, which was turned in at the near post by Mateo Joseph, with the goal sending the Yorkshire club on their way to a 2-0 win.

When asked how he felt being back out there on the pitch, Solomon told Leeds’ official website: “I really enjoyed it. It was a great debut because of the win and I am happy to contribute to the team. It was a long time since I had an official game and I am so happy to be back and in the team.”

Spurs Web Opinion

This was very impressive from Solomon, considering he has not played any competitive football for nearly a year.

If he can stay clear of injuries, I am sure he will continue to get better throughout the season and he could potentially dominate the Championship.
