how nice it is that we don’t have to start the “best” players every week because they’re the only starting XI we have - there feels a proper squad depth and subs are all coming on and influencing games with the changes and not just like for like mediocrity or worse

the games are going to be tough to work through, it’s no surprise with different solutions needing solving… and two teams have come to St Andrews already having a bit of a go but mainly looking to stifle and kill us from our desired game

i thought first half today was decent
start of the second half, first 20 mins we struggled … the performance of their no 5 sub and the blonde 8 in the middle affected the game, Hansson struggled second half against the sub

both them players going off, the no 5 having to withdraw after all subs made leaving them with 10 handed us the initiative again, and we rose to the challenge well

i agree with Davies’ comments that opponents seem to be whirling through their subs bench seemingly to keep their energy in
lines with us, long may it continue
