Report: Interest in Tottenham player is ‘limited’ ahead of transfer deadline

According to BBC Sport, Giovani Lo Celso does not have too many options to choose from as he looks to leave Tottenham before Friday’s transfer deadline.

With both Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon now into the final years of their contract at Spurs and with neither player being a part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans, the Lilywhites will be desperate to offload the pair before the window shuts at 11 pm tomorrow.

It was reported by Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday that Real Betis are showing an interest in a late deal to re-sign the Argentine midfielder.

The journalist explained that the La Liga side view the Tottenham man as a replacement for Nabil Fekir, who is expected to join UAE club Al Jazira.

Lo Celso has limited options to choose from

The same information has now been backed up by BBC Sport, who say that Manuel Pellegrini’s men are working to bring Lo Celso back to the Benito Villamarin Stadium.

However, the outlet adds that the interest in Lo Celso remains ‘limited’ at the moment, which perhaps indicates that he does not have too many other options.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs and Lo Celso can get a deal done in the next 48 hours.
