Manor Solomon is keen to get out onto the pitch and show what he can do after sealing a season-long loan move to Leeds United.

Manor Solomon has only played for Spurs six times

Solomon was robbed of the chance to prove himself at Tottenham after joining the club on a free transfer last summer, with an injury putting him out of action for almost the entirety of last season.

The 25-year-old might have hoped to impress Ange Postecoglou this season but it was clear that chances at Spurs were going to prove few and far between for the attacker, with the Australian having an embarrassment of riches in the wide areas.

Solomon has thus decided to make a temporary move to Elland Road and he will be keen to get minutes under his belt in the Championship and aid Leeds’ quest to win promotion to the Premier League.

The winger stated that Daniel Farke’s style of play played a key role in his decision, admitting that he is now raring to go.

Solomon just wants to play football again

Solomon told Leeds’ official website: “I am really happy to be here. I’ve heard a lot about the club, about its fans, about the heritage, the history. I know it’s a massive club in England and I’m looking forward to seeing the fans and to meet them all.

“As soon as the interest from Leeds came, I started to look for the players, for the coach and I’ve spoken with the manager and he explained to me about the style of playing, about the players that there are in Leeds.

“I know there is a group of great lads, young people with great desire, with great techniques and I’m looking forward to playing with them and to help them in the best way I can. I just want to get going.”

Spurs Web Opinion

While some might be surprised by Solomon’s decision to drop down to the Championship, I think it is the right move as the winger’s priority this season would be to get minutes in his legs.

He will also be playing for an attacking side who will have a lot of the ball, which will enable the former Shakhtar man to showcase what he can do in the final third.
