It is no surprise that the Ramblers begin the season as the No. 1 team in the preseason Super 25.
This might be the most talented team coach Rob Zvonar has had with the Griffins.
Elliott recently committed to Vanderbilt. He passed for more than 3,000 yards and 34 touchdowns last season and rushed for 847 yards and seven TDs.
The Roadrunners started 0-4 last year and barely squeaked into the playoffs. They were 2-5 to begin the 2022 season.
Coines had a spectacular junior season, finishing with more than 2,500 passing yards, nearly 1,000 rushing yards and 37 total TDs.
Last season, Downers North was on everyone’s radar as a quality team, but it turned out young quarterback Owen Lansu and little-known running back Noah Battle were better than most observers realized.
Wolf is the starting quarterback, one of 19 players who started multiple games last season returning for Warren coach Bryan McNulty. He’s also a key member of the basketball and baseball teams.
Longtime coach Brad Seaburg has six returning starters on offense, including his son, third-year starting quarterback Peyton Seaburg.
The Huskies open this season with a road game at Warren, then host Barrington and Maine South.
