Spurs are set to benefit from the sale of Jack Clarke

Jack Clarke, who arrived at Spurs from Leeds United as an 18-year-old back in 2019, failed to live up to his promise in the North London club, eventually joining Sunderland in the summer of 2022.

The winger has come of age in his last two years at the Stadium of Light and was one of the best attackers on show in the Championship last term.

Tottenham would have paid close attention to the speculation over Clarke’s future all summer as the Lilywhites reportedly retain a 25 per cent sell-on clause for the player (GiveMeSport).

Jack Clarke is set for another go in the Premier League

Spurs will be pleased to learn that they will now receive a significant chunk of change since their former player has agreed to move to Ipswich Town.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the newly promoted Premier League side have agreed a package worth £20m, including add-ons, with Sunderland for Clarke.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side could now receive up to £5m of the fee that Ipwich have shelled out on the winger.

Clarke will return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 9th November when the Tractor Boys make the trip to N17.

Tottenham’s decision to retain a sell-on clause on Clarke has been vindicated. It will be interesting to see how the 23-year-old does at Premier League level, having bossed the Championship over the last couple of years.
