Man United make first move to sign £29.5m-rated star who could replace Shaw and Wan-Bissaka - report

Manchester United have spoken to Ferdi Kadioglu’s representatives to understand what they will demand if they strike a deal with Fernabahce, according to ‘internet personality’ Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

The versatile Turkish international impressed in the Super Lig last term, notching one goal and four assists in 37 appearances.

Kadioglu helped Fenerbahce keep 15 clean sheets and won 60 percent of his duels as they finished second in the league despite accruing 99 points.

The 24-year-old carried his outstanding performances to the 2024 European Championship, where he was one of the standout full-backs. He won 63% of his duels while averaging 2.4 key passes per game.

Kadioglu impressed offensively and defensively, putting himself on the radar of several European clubs, and Man United appear interested in securing his services.

Kadioglu played left-back last season. He can provide cover for the often-injured Luke Shaw, who missed most of last season.

Tyrell Malacia also spent a significant portion of the season on the sidelines, forcing the Red Devils back into the market for reinforcements.

Signing Kadioglu will appeal to manager Erik ten Hag, as he is right-footed and can also play on the right flank.

United are planning to cash in on Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer and have their sights set on a new right-full-back.

They were in talks for Noussair Mazraoui, but Bayern Munich’s asking price is putting United off.

Kadioglu could be a wise move for United, plugging holes in both full-back areas as they look to bounce back from an abysmal eighth-place league finish last term.

Man United have already completed deals for Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, but there are still several holes to fill in the squad.

United need full-backs, a productive winger and a defensive midfielder to challenge for a Champions League spot next term.
