The Hibees host Celtic in our first home league match of the 2024/25 campaign; kick-off at 12:30pm on Sunday 11 August.
David Gray’s side fell to defeat away at St. Mirren last Sunday but will be looking to rectify that performance with a strong showing against The Hoops this weekend.
It’s been a busy week at HTC with two new additions. Canadian international Junior Hoilett penned a one-year deal with the Club following an impressive spell at Aberdeen last season and will add experience and creativity to the group.
We also secured Nicky Cadden’s signature, twin brother of our right-back Chris. The winger has spent four years in the EFL with Forest Green Rovers and Barnsley and will be looking to make an instant impact in Edinburgh.

Both Harry McKirdy and Chris Cadden were back in the squad last weekend, with Elie Youan the only absentee (injury) against St Mirren.
THE VISITORS
Celtic were crowned champions in the 2023/24 season and kick-started their league campaign defence with a 4-0 victory at home to Kilmarnock last Sunday.
Over the summer, Brendan Rodgers has strengthened his squad with some new additions. Veteran goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has been brought in to replace Joe Hart, with Paulo Bernardo and Viljami Sinisalo also signing from Benfica and Aston Villa respectively.

The match will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage from 11:30pm.
