Brighton Face Competition In Pursuit Of Target

Brighton have competition in their pursuit of veteran defender Mats Hummels in the ongoing transfer window, according to talkSPORT.

 

The 35-year-old defender is available on a free transfer after he left Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.

 

The veteran centre-back started in the Champions League final last season and notched up 40 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions.

 

 

A move to the Premier League has been mooted and Brighton are interested in signing him on a free transfer.

 

However, Brighton are set to face competition in their pursuit of the veteran defender this summer.

 

 

Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler has personally spoken with Hummels about his project on the south coast of England.

 

He is keen to add the defender’s experience to his squad but other clubs are also making a play for Hummels in the ongoing summer transfer window.

 

 

The World Cup-winning defender is keeping his options open and is closely studying the offers on his table.
