The wee Hibees put in an excellent performance on the road, claiming a 2-1 victory over current U18 title-holders Aberdeen on Friday night.

A goal in each half from the wee Hibees earned Darren McGregor’s side an impressive 2-1 victory over the young Dons at Cormack Park.

Josh Landers and Luke Davidson were on target for the Hibees in what was an excellent performance against last season's CAS Elite League champions.

Josh Landers had a couple of early chances inside the first half-hour as we looked threatening from the off. Landers eventually opened the scoring after turning in Jamie McMurdo’s cross at the back post just after the half-hour mark.

The Hibees were dominant in the first half and continued that momentum at the start of the second 45. We quickly doubled our lead thanks to a swift counter-attack, which was finished off by Luke Davidson who powered his effort past Aberdeen's keeper Vitols.

Both Davidson and McDonald had good chances to increase our lead but were denied by Vitols to keep the game alive.

The hosts did pull one back with 10 minutes to play courtesy of Joseph Teasdale who headed in past Mallon.

But the Hibees held firm to protect the lead and make it two wins from two.

Hibernian: Mallon, Whittaker, Calder, Gillie, McGrath, Bruce, Buckley, Landers, McDonald, McMurdo, Davidson

Subs: Vickery, Gallacher, Beaton, Martin, Aitken, MacDonald, Olsso.
