Report: PL star is more likely to join Spurs than Liverpool this summer

According to 90 min, Liverpool are also chasing Pedro Neto at the moment but it is Tottenham who are currently leading the race for the Wolves star.

Neto has been linked with a move to Spurs right from the start of the summer and the speculation has further intensified over the last week.

A few days ago, Football Transfers claimed that the Lilywhites had stepped up their pursuit of the 24-year-old as Ange Postecoglou was keen to add more firepower to his frontline.

The report asserted that the North London club had not only held talks with Wolves but had also spoken to the Portuguese star’s entourage over personal terms.

90 min have now revealed that Neto has also emerged as a target for Liverpool, who are on the lookout for Mohamed Salah’s long-term successor.

However, the report points out that the Reds expect to face plenty of competition for the Wolves star, most notably from Tottenham.

In fact, the publication adds that at the moment, the former Braga man is ‘more likely’ to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than Anfield.

By the sounds of it, Spurs have already put in plenty of groundwork on the Neto deal and are aware of what it would take to strike a deal.

Perhaps, the Lilywhites are just waiting for some player departures before pushing ahead with an offer for the winger.
