Brandon Austin picks three surprise names in his list of the best finishers at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have a slew of attacking talent at their disposal, but Brandon Austin has discussed who might be the best finisher at the club from a goalkeeper’s perspective.

Who is the best finisher at Spurs?

If anyone knows how good the Spurs forwards are, it’s the goalkeepers who train with them and face their shots every day.

Speaking to Football.London, Austin was asked who is the best finisher in the squad, and he found it rather difficult to pinpoint just one player for praise.

He said: “I mean, everyone. The quality is so high in training, but obviously, you’ve got the likes of Sonny and Madders who are top, top finishers. All of the forward players are good.

“But I think you’ve also got the youngsters, you’ve got players like Dane Scarlett, Mikey Moore, and Jamie Donley has got a really nice ball strike on him.

“So it’s tough, but it’s good. I think it brings the best out of all of us. For us to save it, we have to be on our game and for them to score, they’ve also got to be on their game to get it past us. So I think it brings the best out of both of us.”

Ange-ball delivers goals

We know very well from last season that Spurs are capable of scoring plenty of goals. The team scored more goals last term than they did in the previous campaign, even without the talents of Harry Kane.

It remains to be seen whether the Lilywhites can add to their attacking roster this summer, with talk of a new striker being a priority.

I think if you could only pick one player to put in front of goal and be confident he would score, it has to be Sonny. He can use both feet, he can place it or use power, and he is just incredible in one-on-one situations, too.

Just not against Man City, ay Sonny.
