Fabrizio Romano expects Tottenham Hotspur to prioritise a move for another midfielder and an attacking player before the transfer window slams shut.

Tottenham will be busy over the next month

Tottenham have been extremely busy in terms of outgoings this summer, managing to offload a number of players who were surplus to requirements, with more expected to follow over the coming days and weeks.

However, it is fair to say that the majority of the fan base have been underwhelmed so far by the signings that have been made, with many disappointed at the lack of big-name arrivals.

This could soon change if Romano’s latest update is to be believed, with the journalist stating that Spurs wish to bring a central midfielder in to replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

He also asserted that the Lilywhites will make at least one more attacking addition before the start of the new season.

A new midfielder and new attacker for Spurs

He told GiveMeSport: “It is a possibility for Tottenham to bring in a new midfielder after Hojbjerg’s exit, I still think that they want to do something in the offensive position.

“I think they will do something in the offensive positions. This is the idea, one more offensive player, one more talented player.”

Interestingly, this is quite similar to the claim made by The Mirror on Sunday, with the outlet asserting that Postecoglou’s men are now considering moves for Conor Gallagher and Ivan Toney.

A midfielder and a striker seems like the bare minimum this window and many Tottenham fans will also be hoping for another big-name winger like Pedro Neto to also arrive through the door.
