Tottenham and West Ham want Ivan Toney

It has been a strange old transfer saga for Ivan Toney this summer, with clubs dropping like flies in the race to sign him from Brentford.

GiveMeSport report that the Bees have dropped their asking price down to just £50m due to a lack of suitors, while Spurs and West Ham are the only clubs left in the race for Toney’s signature.

TalkSPORT reinforced this claim but added that Toney is hoping Tottenham make a move to sign him, rather than the Hammers.

Manchester United could enter Ivan Toney race

The latest update from GiveMeSport reveals that Man United have held internal talks about whether to enter the race for Toney this summer.

The Red Devils already have Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford, as well as new signing Joshua Zirkzee, in their forward ranks.

Man United would reportedly be willing to make a move to add Ivan Toney to that list if his price tag eventually drops below £40m.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I do expect Toney’s price tag to drop to around £40m but I can’t see it going any lower than that.

There is also no chance he chooses to join Man United when they have two senior first-team strikers, compared to Tottenham who seem to be looking for a starter to replace Richarlison.
