Yoro: Signing for United is an incredible honour
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Leny Yoro for Lille OSC on a five-year-deal. The 18-year-old defender has joined the club on a deal that is worth £52m, after turning the heads of big clubs all over Europe.
United had initially chased Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton, having two bids rejected, in the hunt for replacing Raphael Varane. Matthijs de Ligt has also been linked with the club.
However, for now, it is the Frenchman who has confirmed his place at the club, and he has spoken to the official site about how happy he is about the move.
Signing for a club with the stature and ambition of Manchester United so early in my career is an incredible honour.
Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop in Manchester as part of this exciting project, and showed a lot of care for me and my family.
