Hibernian goalkeeper Joe Bursik is loving life in Leith at the moment!

The 24-year-old has been at the Club for less than a month, but he admits it already feels like home and has thoroughly enjoyed his first few weeks at the Club. Speaking to Hibs TV, he told us:

“I have settled in really quickly, to be honest. It helps when you are coming into such a good team and a great group of lads. Everyone has been really welcoming and there is good staff here as well.

“It has been nice to have so many games within a short space of time, so you can bed your way in and show the lads what you are about.

“Edinburgh is a lovely city; my girlfriend and I are loving it. Training has been really good, we had a good week in Holland and the lads are getting fitter which we can see.

“We did well at the weekend (against Elgin City), so we can see that things are starting to tick, and all the new players are beginning to settle in as well. Everyone is enjoying life at the moment.”

Bursik is yet to concede a goal for Hibs, playing his part in three clean sheets in pre-season – before marking his competitive debut with another clean sheet in our 5-0 win over Elgin City.

After making his first competitive appearance, Bursik is eager to impress at Easter Road for the first time.

“I am really looking forward to playing at Easter Road. I went round the Stadium a few weeks ago and we pretty taken a back. It is a really nice ground, so I am looking forward to playing there and hopefully, we can get another win.”
