Kathleen McGovern's First Hibs Interview

After signing for the club earlier this week, we spoke to striker Kathleen McGovern about her arrival at the club – and expectations for the coming season.

Signing from our Edinburgh rivals – Kathleen was determined to ensure she’d impress her new set of supporters.

I am delighted to be signing for Hibs. As soon as I spoke to Grant, I knew the correct decision for me was to come here. He was really positive about the ambition and where the club is going, which is something that I want to be a part of.

“I want to focus on the football and contribute to this team. Hopefully, there will be a few goals to come!”

Already familiar with some of her new team-mates, Kathleen said they would help set herself up for a successful season in green and white.

“Before coming here, I knew a few players from the Scotland Under-23’s so I know what to expect from the squad. I have set my goals for this season, but I’ve not had much of a break yet, but I can’t wait until the season gets underway”

Finally, McGovern also gave an insight into what fans could expect of her going forward.
