Conor Gallagher is a wanted man this summer, but his latest comments appear to suggest he is firmly committed to staying at Chelsea rather than making a move elsewhere.

With Chelsea facing financial issues amid talk of breaching Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), the Blues are reportedly looking to sell players, with Gallagher mentioned as a likely departure (Football Insider).
Spurs are thought to be keen on the England international, and have been for over a year now, with Ange Postecoglou eager to upgrade his midfield options in the summer.
The Lilywhites face competition from Aston Villa (The Guardian) for the player, who is now entering the final year of his contract with Chelsea.
Conor Gallagher may not want to leave Chelsea
A £40m price tag has been mooted for Gallagher (TEAMtalk), but luring him away from Chelsea may be more difficult than expected. That’s largely due to the player himself not being receptive to a transfer.
Discussing the speculation with the press (via Fabrizio Romano), Gallagher played down any idea of leaving Chelsea, and said: “My full focus is on the Euros. I couldn’t be happier with the position I’m in.
“It was sad to see Pochettino go. He’s done so much for me, but I’m really excited for the new manager coming in and to start working with him.”
Gallagher impressed under the management of Pochettino last season, with the former Spurs boss handing him the captaincy while he was in charge of the club.

I’m sorry, but Conor Gallagher is not going anywhere this summer. He so obviously wants to stay at Chelsea and the fans would go ballistic if the club actually sanctioned his sale.
As a boyhood Chelsea fan it is clear that he wants to remain at Stamford Bridge and sign a new deal, rather than join Spurs or Aston Villa.
I’m sure Chelsea can find other ways to raise the funds they need to get in line with PSR, and we do have other options for that midfield role if that does happen anyway. It would be nice to sign Gallagher, but it’s not essential.
