Hibernian FC played their part in LandAid’s biggest ever Sleepout which saw over 1,300 people across the UK come together to support young people experiencing homelessness in the UK.

The event took place across several locations across the UK, with the Club offering Easter Road Stadium as the only venue in Scotland to host an event.

In total, the event raised over £700,000 to support local youth homeless charities, having a huge impact on communities across Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, and Manchester.

Over 100 people spent the night at Easter Road Stadium, braving the cold and sleeping in the stands under cardboard boxes – giving participants a glimpse into the harsh reality faced by thousands of young people across the UK every night.

Paul Morrish, LandAid’s Chief Executive, said: “We are so grateful for the support that Hibernian FC have given to LandAid for the 2024 SleepOut.

“Without the use of this brilliant venue, the event would not have been such a success. Over 110 willing and brave participants who took part in the freezing cold in Edinburgh, alongside over 1,200 participants in 6 locations across England – making it LandAid’s biggest SleepOut ever!”

“It was great to see so many participants and volunteers inside Easter Road on the night, with the funds raised from the event going towards supporting young people facing homelessness across the country.”
