Report: Spurs are ‘ready to offer significant sums’ to sign 24-year-old this summer

Tutto Atalanta have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to spend big to sign Ederson from Atalanta this summer.

The speculation linking Ederson with a move to Spurs has gone into hyperdrive over the last week, with Spanish, English and Italian outlets backing the Lilywhites to make a move for the Brazilian.

Last week, GiveMeSport claimed that Ange Postecoglou’s men had identified the Atalanta star as an alternative to Conor Gallagher, who remains their top target.

The report suggested that Spurs are ‘totally convinced’ that Ederson has the attributes to thrive in the Premier League.

A couple of days ago, Marca revealed that Atletico Madrid are keen on securing the Atalanta star but the La Liga side are wary of potential competition from Spurs.

Tottenham ready to spend big on Ederson

Tutto Atalanta have now become the latest outlet to report on Spurs’ interest in Ederson, with the publication stating that the North London side are ‘ready to offer significant sums’ to get their hands on the player.

The report claims that amidst the interest of Tottenham and others, Atalanta has already started looking for potential replacements for the midfielder.

It is explained that the Serie A club value Ederson at over €40m (£34.3m) but they might decide to hang on to him if they cash in on Teun Koopmeiners.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is difficult to see Atalanta selling both Ederson and Koopmeiners in the same window. One would think that the latter is far more likely to depart, having already publicly announced his intention to seek a new challenge at the end of this campaign.
