We Don’t Have To Speak About – Daniel Farke Determined To Keep Leeds United Focused

0 6

Daniel Farke has insisted that Leeds United are not focused on the Championship table at the moment as they need to find a way to survive in the next two league games and be competitive.

Leeds went into the international break on top of the Championship table, albeit playing a game more than Leicester City.

The Whites are firm contenders to gain automatic promotion back to the Premier League and are now in the race to win the Championship season.

However, Farke stressed that Leicester are still the favourites to win the league and insisted that for the moment, it is not the focus for his team.

He pointed out that Leeds are set to play Watford with many of their players not getting much training under their belt and then have just one more session on Sunday before taking on Hull City.

The Leeds boss stressed that the focus now is to find a way for the team to be competitive in the next two games.

Asked if Leeds are now the team to beat, Farke said in a press conference: “No, Leicester has a game in hand, then they have the best possible option – that’s a fact and the reality.

“For this weekend, the games before are not important because we play more or less, two games this weekend, six points.

“Watford, we train without a proper training session then a session on Sunday, before the game against Hull.

“We don’t have to speak about the table right now, we have to find a way to be competitive for these two games.”

Only one point is separating Leeds from third-placed Ipswich Town in the Championship standings.
