Morché’s Reign contract also extended through 2022.

Another OL Reign player is going on loan, with the team announcing today that goalkeeper Cosette Morché will be joining French club Grand Paris Seine Ouest 92 Issy (formerly known as FF Issy) through the end of June 2022. In conjunction with the loan, the club exercised the option to extend Morché’s contract through 2022. Houston Dash defender Ally Prisock was also loaned to Issy earlier today.

After earning promotion to Division 1 Feminine ahead of the 2020/21 season, Issy was slated to be relegated back to the second division after finishing in 11th place out of 12 teams last year, but the French federation recently opted to temporarily reduce the number of relegated and promoted teams in the competitions they oversee due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, Morché and Issy will face OL Reign sister club Olympique Lyonnais twice in the coming year.

Morché joined OL Reign in December 2020 from Swedish Damallsvenskan club Eskilstuna United DFF. She has 10 professional appearances, all in Sweden, but has not made any appearances for the Reign. In addition to providing Morché with an opportunity for more playing time, this move opens up a roster spot which will be needed when the five players currently away on international duty return to OL Reign after the Olympics.
