Same coach for X years or change clubs

At our club, the same coach stays with the same team for many years. Unless the kid changes teams at the same club they won’t ever see a new coach for years. I would say 5-8 years are normal ranges for a coach to have a team. I like our coach and my son likes his coach and the team. But my son feels like after 3 years he would like to learn from someone new which makes sense to me.
