Seagulls lose final pre-season friendly

THE Seagulls were beaten by a superb late free kick as they lost 2-1 to Northern Premier League side Runcorn Linnets in their final pre-season game.
They led 1-0 at half-time with a Craig Lindfield penalty, although Runcorn had threatened the Bay goal on a number of occasions.
The visitors eventually equalised with a good finish from a tight angle and snatched victory in the closing minutes with the free kick from just outside the box
It was a another good test for the Bay ahead of next week’s opening League game against Bangor 1876.
