Cd's like vinyl will go up in price/collectability over time.

I kept all of mine from my DJ days and still have a shed load of vinyl 7" and 12".

The more people throw away the rarer each item gets.

I still have some of my grandfather's 78rpm crock records, there is one by Arthur Askey called "My old friend the milkman" it's worth a small fortune about £1,600 the last time we checked, so yes things are worth keeping you never know what value they will reach
