Can you still apply in person?
A few years ago, I suddenly realised I was a few days short of the 6 months needed on the passport to fly to Australia. It was 2 days before our flight! ????♀️
I got up very early the next morning and drove to the Newport Passport office - went straight in and then had to kill a few hours before going back to fetch my new passport.
