EG have been assiduous in tracing ancestries down into modern football. Given it was a Spanish colony they’ve got quite a few players in the Spanish leagues. Some of the other smaller countries have been doing the same thing but EG beat them all to it because they wanted to avoid embarrassment when they were co-hosting a few years back.
