from what i've seen from their athletic writer: they had agreements (like with Buendia) to let them go if a certain price was met even after promotion.
With Rashica, think it was widely accepted in villa circles last summer that we were in for him but he "didn't want to go to a relegation battle" and Bremen got relegated this year and just moved to Norwich. Will be a good signing for them tbh.
