Can’t believe we’ve got to page 15 without anybody mentioning the Weoley Castle.
Went in there as a 15 year old, looking 12 (as I do today) with Stan Farmer and we won the pick a number jackpot of about £30 which was a fortune in 1977. Drank up and legged it.
Can’t remember the pub we used to go to in the dinner hour from KE Five Ways, but while not the worst certainly wasn’t the best.
