England Hockey Awards 2017
Nominated for the England Hockey Awards 2017 for Team of the Year and Coach of the Year, Wilmslow HC were represented at the gala awards dinner in Leicester on 20th May by Steve Kinsella, President, Bruce McLennan, Chairman and members of the Mens 1s and their coach, Rob Turner.
Attended by over 500 people from across the hockey community, the awards celebrate high achievers at club and personal level. The Mens 1s were nominated for Team of the Year while Rob was nominated as Coach of the Year - these awards underline how much the club has achieved over the last couple of years, and althogh we did not win, this was a great opportunity to raise the profile of the club. Congratulations to Wimbledon HC and Danny Kerry, winners of the respective categories.
During the evening, the WHC team mixed with leading lights in the GB and England Hockey world.
