120 children play Quicksticks at The Edge!

120 children making up 20 teams from local primary schools came to the Edge on Wed 4th Feb to play in the Macclesfield School Sports Partnership Quicksticks competition. The competition was run in part by Junior leaders from Wilmslow High School year 7 students many of whom play for us.  They did an amazing job umpiring all the games and presenting medals. Great to see so many schools and children enjoying themselves. The winners  were Gorsey Bank Primary School who had an outstanding individual player who just happens to play at Alderley Edge!  Gorsey go on to compete in the Cheshire finals. A great day in cold but sunny conditions for the kids. The hockey section supported the event with Kelvin Briggs managing the pitches,Teresa Hadfield making all the teachers Barista coffee and first aid support was led by Emma Gilman.
