Dawlish v Sidmouth and Ottery 4 
6-0 
Following a couple of weeks of success Dawlish started strongly and controlled the game from the offset. They worked well together as a team putting lots of pressure on Sidmouth and Ottery 4 with countless breaks into the away teams half making their defence work hard. Billie Gillet managed to secure Dawlish’s first goal following several shots on goal which Sidmouth and Ottery’s goalkeeper had done a great job of saving. The first goal seemed to open the flood gates and Gillet quickly racked up a second and third goal set up by Vicky Britton and Helen Rainbird respectively. Sidmouth and Ottery did have a few chances and did push back at Dawlish but were unable to get any shots past Dawlish’s keeper. 
The second half continued in a similar fashion with Dawlish maintaining the pressure on the away team- Sue Trout in particular made a great run up the wing helping to maintain the home teams momentum from the first half. Sidmouth and Ottery’s defence worked hard but still could not prevent Dawlish from scoring. Billie Gillet got her final goal following a mad scramble for the ball with the goalkeeper and defenders taking her to the grand total of 4. Not wanting to miss out on the goal scoring action Helen Rainbird, Jess Green and Liz Reed all got shots on goal but the away team’s goalkeeper and defence worked hard to stop them from hitting the backboard. 
Sidmouth and Ottery fought back and did put pressure on Dawlish too making several breaks well into Dawlish’s half and making their defence work hard. Despite their persistence and opportunities the away team struggled to convert their pressure into goals- a testament to Dawlish’s defence. 
Dawlish secured two final goals cementing their dominance in the match. Lucy Acheson snuck the ball past the goalkeeper and Michelle Wilkinson got her first goal for the team with a deflection. This 6-0 victory secured a successful end to January for Dawlish and moves them in to 3rd place in the league behind Honiton Hornets and Ashmoor.
