Covid Contingency Plan

Fingers crossed we won’t need them, but should there be another lockdown we have come up with three plans to keep us all playing hockey.

These have been imaginatively entitled Plan A, Plan B and Plan C.

Plan A is do nothing, keep playing, no lockdown. Simples.

Plan B rolls into action in case of a lockdown allowing us to play local hockey, similar to what happened last season. We are in the process of contacting local clubs in and around Northamptonshire with the aim of organising a local friendly league if needed.

Plan C is in case of a tighter lockdown allowing sport to go ahead but with no travel, in which case we would organise a round of intra-club friendlies and pay-to-play matches.

Clearly we hope not to see a repeat of last season’s lockdowns, but from experience, we feel we are in a good place to keep everyone on the pitch, and stay physically and mentally fit.
