After their win, Herman Kruis, Belarussian Head Coach: “It was a good game for us, but if we look in statistics of the first quarter, the teams were equal, but our team was more effective. Finally, the team scored two more goals and it was over. If we are looking further, Ireland and Italy teams are one of the strongest ones. We have a noticeably young team because some of the players are not available, but I am always telling everyone we must play with the team what we have now. Good feeling to be in semi-finals and still have a chance to qualify for Hockey World Cup.”

Match 2: Ireland v France (4:1)

Top-ranked side Ireland faced the bottom seeded team France

Recent Olympian, Lena Tice, Irish player: “It was not an easy game, tough first half, but we happy with the results, France are a really good team. Our aim here is to get through one game at a time. The focus now is the semi-finals, and to win this and the final and go to Hockey World Cup.”

Match 3: Scotland v Poland (3:0)

Rebecca Condie, Scottish player: “We knew Poland was going to be tough. We played against them the last time in 2019, so we are familiar with them. but that was a couple of years ago now. We knew that we had to trust in our process and if we trusted the win would come. We wanted to start with simply great basics, and then build up the energy. We always trust in our penalty corners, and they delivered today which is fantastic to see. “

Match 4: Italy v Wales (0:1)
