EHF and the Hockey Dreams Foundation sign a sustainable partnership

0 9

Brussels, 13th October 2021: The European Hockey Federation has signed a sustainable partnership with Hockey Dreams Foundation. They will work closely on enabling hockey development in Europe by creating possibilities for ambitious EHF member National Associations. This involves the EHF Solidarity programmes and grants which EHF members can apply for.

The EHF invites all members to join efforts to rebuild hockey infrastructures around Europe following COVID-19.

The partnership with Hockey Dreams Foundation will allow access to a range of donated hockey items including sticks, balls, goalkeeper kits, and other equipment which is key to the growth and continuing success of our members.

Director-General of the European Hockey Federation Angus Kirkland said: “We are really proud to announce this new long-term partnership with Hockey Dreams Foundation. The new agreement will see more access to grow the game and provide sustainable essential support to our members.”

Merel van Amerongen, Managing Director of Hockey Dreams Foundation added: “We are delighted to be collaborating formally with the EHF after many years of cooperation on the sidelines. We are very happy to support the development of hockey across Europe, so more young people can enjoy and develop their talents through hockey!”

The EHF will underwrite the associated costs for moving the items from the Hockey Dreams Foundation (based in the Netherlands) across Europe to EHF member National Associations.

Interested members can contact EHF Head of National Associations Tom Pedersen-Smith via development@eurohockey.org to apply for EHF Solidarity Grants and programmes.
