2020/21 Season Cancelled

Today we received the unfortunate, yet, probably not unexpected, news that the MRHA have taken the decision to cancel the 2020/21 league season. 

In  the light of the COVID-19 situation and the UK Government measures, the MRHA Committee believes that there is no realistic prospect of hockey resuming before the end of March.  All men’s league fixtures until the end of the season are therefore cancelled. The MRHA Committee also considers that there have been insufficient games to constitute a meaningful league programme, and therefore declares the 2020/21 league season null and void; there will be no promotion or relegation.

This is obviously deeply disappointing for us all at NHC, but we will have the freedom to arrange friendlies and play intra-club hockey once the restrictions allow.  We will update you when this becomes feasible again.
