EuroHockey U18 Youth Championships 2021-UPDATED

The 2021 EuroHockey U18 Youth Championships will take place on the following dates at the venues stated. Participating nations are qualified for pools and divisions based on their final ranking from the 2018 competition.

Following the EHF Executive Board decision that Russia (**) would not be the 2021 host, the EHF engaged with the qualified countries and we are delighted to announce that the EuroHockey U18 Youth Championships, Boys and Girls will be held in Valencia, Spain.

José Antonio Gil, General Secretary, Spanish Hockey Federation said ” We are excited about the possibility of organizing the Eurohockey Championships U-18 Boys and Girls 2021. Valencia will be the headquarters of the organization and we invite all the teams and their fans to come next summer to enjoy this magnificent event.

Boy’s Championship

Teams:

Pool A: ESP, BEL, ENG, SCO

Pool B: NED, GER, IRL, RUS

Venue: Valencia, Spain

Dates: Sunday 18- Saturday 24 July 2021

Boy’s Championship II

Teams:

Pool A: FRA, WAL, CZE, TUR

Pool B: POL, AUT, ITA, UKR

Venue: Vienna (AUT)

Dates: Sunday 18- Saturday 24 July 2021

Boy’s Championship III

Teams:

Pool A: BLR, LTU, FIN

Pool B: SUI, CRO, LUX, DEN

Venue: Zagreb (CRO)

Dates: Sunday 18- Saturday 24 July 2021

* GIB was pre-qualified, but did not enter, HUN withdrew

Girl’s Championship

Teams:

Pool A: NED, GER, ESP, RUS

Pool B: BEL, ENG, IRL, SCO

Venue: Valencia, Spain

Dates: Sunday 18- Saturday 24 July 2021

Girl’s Championship II

Teams:

Pool A: BLR, AUT, POL, SUI

Pool B: FRA, CZE, WAL, ITA

Venue: Zurich (SUI)

Dates: Sunday 18- Saturday 24 July 2021

Girl’s Championship III

Teams:

One Pool: LTU, UKR, CRO, TUR

Venue: Zagreb (CRO)

Dates: Monday 19- Friday 23 July 2021

NB The withdrawal date for all tournaments in this competition is 15 January 2021. Any National Association withdrawing after that date may be subject to a fine or other disciplinary action by EHF. See current EHF Youth Championship Regulations for further details.

NB For the 2021 events only, these events will be played as U19 events. So players need to be born on, or after, 1 January 2002. The minimum age on the first day of the event remains 13.

** Due to the loss of Sports Ministry accreditation for the Russian Hockey Federation, the EHF Board has decided that Russia should not organise and conduct the Event. The participation of Russia in EHF events however is not in question.
