Hockey suspended due to Tier 4 Covid restrictions

Following yesterday's Government announcement placing Cheshire and Greater Manchester into Tier 4, the WHC Covid Team have decided that both adult and junior hockey will be suspended as of midnight on 30th December 2020.

This will be reviewed again following the next Government Review scheduled for the 13th January 2021. 

Given the return for most secondary school children has also been delayed until 18th January, this will give time and solace to hopefully bring the new strain under control and allow for the immunisation programme to start to help protect us.

We know this is disappointing news but we need to ensure that, given the new virulant strain of the virus, we as a club are doing the right thing to protect our members and their families.
